In 1990, I began working for local catering companies as a server/bartender, quickly becoming a manager. Working closely with the kitchen, often jumping in to help, I found enjoyment being in the atmosphere that is the kitchen. Soon, I began taking jobs as a sous chef as well. Having been an artist all my life and an art major in college, I felt I found my new passion! I truly enjoyed the creativity used in planning and designing events and now I was creating and executing menus. For years, I was fortunate enough to work along side and get to know some of the best chefs in Santa Barbara County. Eventually, I started accumulating clients of my own and fortunately, have been busy ever since!!! I am proud to say I have been featured in Santa Barbara Magazine’s “best of” issue for private chefs, as well as in the Santa Barbara Newspress and the Carpinteria Coastal View. Staying on top of food trends has always been an interest of mine. Whether it be from, conversing with other chefs, researching, traveling or tasting.
Having my roots in Santa Barbara County, I source locally, from farmers, fisherman, neighbors, or my own personal garden. Creating a true “farm to table” experience.
